My son was born with a deformed ears. The other day I was talking to my brother and was asking him if he was tired of his ears not looking normal. I told him that I would do some research for him cause he is not that good on the internet.
So I went home and did some research for him in finding a plastic surgeon who could give him his self confidence back.  A week later after i did research I told him that I found this surgeon in Beverly Hills,California. So we called and made the first appointment and was able to get his concerns and the question about the procedure. He was also was able to see before and after pictures of the Otoplasty (ear surgery).
Five months later he looks great and his ear looks great. He now has his self confidence back. He is happy with the results.

Ear Surgery in Las Vegas by Dr. Ebert

Ear surgery, or otoplasty, is usually done to set prominent ears back closer to the head or to reduce the size of large ears.

For the most part, the operation is done on children between the ages of four and 14. Ears are almost fully grown by age four, and the earlier the surgery, the less teasing and ridicule the child will have to endure. Ear surgery on adults is also possible, and there are generally no additional risks associated with ear surgery on an older patient.

If you’re considering ear surgery for yourself or your child, this information will give you a basic understanding of the procedure-when it can help, how it’s performed, and what results you can expect. It can’t answer all of your questions, since a lot depends on your individual circumstances. Please be sure to ask Dr. Charles Ebert in Las Vegas if there is anything you don’t understand about the procedure.

Cheek Elevation - Cheek Implants in Phoenix Arizona

Plastic surgeons use facial implants to improve and enhance facial contours. Frequently, these implants will help provide a more harmonious balance to your face and features so that you feel better about the way you look.

Cheek implant surgery usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes. When cheek implants are being placed in conjunction with another cosmetic procedure, such as a facelift, forehead lift or eyelid surgery, the implants may be inserted through the incisions made for those procedures. Otherwise, an incision will be made either inside your upper lip or your lower eyelid. A pocket is then formed and an implant is inserted.

After surgery, a dressing will be applied to minimize discomfort and swelling. The severity and duration of such side effects may vary, especially if another cosmetic procedure was performed at the same time.

If you are considering cheek augmentation in Phoenix Arizona contact cosmetic surgeon Robert Marouk. Facial plastic surgery procedures offered at the Cosmetic Surgical Art Center in Phoenix Arizona include facelift surgery, rhinoplasty, neck lift surgery, blepharoplasty, lip augmentation and ear surgery.

All Surgery Carries Some Uncertainty and Risk
When ear surgery is performed by a qualified, experienced surgeon, complications are infrequent and usually minor. Nevertheless, as with any operation, there are risks associated with surgery and specific complications associated with this procedure.

A small percentage of patients may develop a blood clot on the ear. It may dissolve naturally or can be drawn out with a needle.

Occasionally, patients develop an infection in the cartilage, which can cause scar tissue to form. Such infections are usually treated with antibiotics; rarely, surgery may be required to drain the infected area.

Face & Neck Lift Surgery in Phoenix Arizona

A facelift (technically known as rhytidectomy) can’t stop this aging process. What it can do is “set back the clock,” improving the most visible signs of aging by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and redraping the skin of your face and neck. A facelift can be done alone, or in conjunction with other procedures such as a forehead lift, eyelid surgery, or nose reshaping.

The best candidate for a facelift is a man or woman whose face and neck have begun to sag, but whose skin still has some elasticity and whose bone structure is strong and well-defined. Most patients are in their forties to sixties, but facelifts can be done successfully on people in their seventies or eighties as well.

A facelift can make you look younger and fresher, and it may enhance your self- confidence in the process. But it can’t give you a totally different look, nor can it restore the health and vitality of your youth.

All Surgery Carries Some Uncertainty and Risk
When a facelift is performed by a qualified plastic surgeon, complications are infrequent and usually minor. Still, individuals vary greatly in their anatomy, their physical reactions, and their healing abilities, and the outcome is never completely predictable.

Complications that can occur include hematoma (a collection of blood under the skin that must be removed by the surgeon), injury to the nerves that control facial muscles (usually temporary), infection, and reactions to the anesthesia. Poor healing of the skin is most likely to affect smokers.

You can reduce your risks by closely following your surgeon’s advice both before and after surgery.

The Surgery
A facelift usually takes several hours-or somewhat longer if you’re having more than one procedure done.

Incisions usually begin above the hairline at the temples, extend in a natural line in front of the ear (or just inside the cartilage at the front of the ear), and continue behind the earlobe to the lower scalp.

The skin is separated from the fat and muscle below. Fat may be removed from around the neck and chin to improve the contour. Dr. Marouk then tightens the underlying muscle and membrane, pulls the skin back, and removes the excess. Stitches secure the layers of tissue and close the incisions; metal clips may be used on the scalp.

Following surgery, a small, thin tube may be temporarily placed under the skin behind your ear to drain any blood that might collect there. The surgeon may also wrap your head loosely in bandages to minimize bruising and swelling.

If you are considering a facelift in Phoenix Arizona contact cosmetic surgeon Robert Marouk. Facial plastic surgery procedures offered at the Cosmetic Surgical Art Center in Phoenix Arizona include facelift surgery, rhinoplasty, neck lift surgery, blepharoplasty, lip augmentation and ear surgery.

Dr. Windle performs Otoplasty in Seattle

Otoplasty (Cosmetic Ear Surgery) is a surgical procedure used to improve the appearance of protruding ears or to reduce the size of large ears. It can also help correct ear deformities such as “lop ear,” “cupped ear,” or “shell ear.”

Are you a candidate for an otoplasty?
Otoplasty can be performed on children and adults, however children need to wait until the ears are almost fully grown. This usually occurs by the age of 4 or 5.

What are my risks?
With any operation, there are associated risks. These include infection or a reaction to the anesthesia. A small percentage of patients may develop a blood clot in the ear and this can either dissolve naturally or may need to be aspirated.

Occasionally an infection can occur in the cartilage, which will cause scar tissue to form. These infections can be treated with antibiotics.

What does the consultation consist of?
At your initial consultation, Dr. Windle or Dr. Stroup will evaluate your general health, examine your ears, and explain the procedure to you along with the risks of the procedure. In addition, your doctor will give you different options based on your particular situation.

At this time, your doctor will also discuss with you the types of anesthesia and risks involved, the estimated length of your ear surgery, and what your healing period will be like. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. Dr. Windle and Dr. Stroup want to be sure you have a complete understanding of the information given to you so you can make a decision which is right for you.

After meeting with the doctor you will be offered a computer imaging session, which will help communicate to the doctor the outcome and result you are looking for along with what Dr. Windle or Dr. Stroup thinks is a realistic expectation. Photographs will be taken and altered on the computer screen to give you an idea of what changes you can expect to see as a result of otoplasty.

From that point, you will meet with our financial counselor who will give you the exact price quote for your otoplasty. She will give you the options of the different facilities where you can have your procedure done along with their fees for anesthesia and the use of their facility. We do have a financing company with which we work closely, and if you are interested in this, you will be instructed how to apply for a loan. The criteria for this is about the same as being eligible to take out a car loan. We also accept cash, checks, money orders, VISA, Mastercard, or Discover.

Enhancing Your Appearance With Nose Surgery

While the shape of your nose is usually the result of heredity, the appearance may have been altered in an injury or during prior surgery.

Also known as rhinoplasty, surgery of the nose improves the appearance and proportion of your nose, enhancing facial harmony and self confidence.

Surgery of the nose may also correct impaired breathing caused by structural abnormalities in the nose.

What can surgery of the nose accomplish?

Rhinoplasty can change:
* Nose size, in relation to the other facial structures
* Nose width, at the bridge
* Nose profile, with visible humps or depressions on the bridge
* Nasal tip, that is large or bulbous, drooping, or too upturned
* Nostrils that are large, wide or upturned
* Nasal asymmetry and deviation

Is it right for me?

Nose surgery is a highly individualized procedure and you should do it for yourself, not to fulfill someone else’s desires or to try to fit any sort of ideal image. Surgery of the nose is a good option for you if:
* Your facial growth is complete and you are 13 years of age or older
* You are physically healthy
* You stop smoking
* You have specific, but realistic goals in mind for the improvement of your appearance

Dr. Robert Hein in Oklahoma can help you to achieve your goals. Dr. Gilbert Tresley performs Liposuction in Chicago

One of the most popular procedures today, liposuction is designed to eliminate fatty deposits in various areas of the body, such as the abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks or neck. This is not a weight loss procedure but rather a sculpting of areas that are refractory to dieting and exercise. During the tumescent liposuction procedure, fluid is injected into the tissue to improve the efficiency of fat removal and to decrease the blood loss. Then, a cannula connected to a vacuum pump is inserted through a small 1/4” incision in a normal skin fold, and the area is suctioned. Today, advanced techniques using ultrasonic and power assisted cannulas have enhanced results. This procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis, and the patient can resume normal activities within a week’s time, but must refrain from exercising and sports for three weeks postoperatively.

Patients who desire a Liposuction in Chicago usually are seeking to reduce the size of a protruding fat deposits throughout the body. This procedure is best for individuals who are seeking to reduce fat deposits and are in relatively good health. Age is not a factor in liposuction, except that older patients’ skin may not be as elastic and may not yield the same result as a person with more elastic skin. Eliminating these deposits may also affect an individual’s confidence, leading them to seek their own Liposuction in Chicago.

A liposuction can help such individuals restore a thinner and fitter looking contour to their bodies. The specified portion of the body is made smaller to better match the shape of the patient. Dr. Tresley accomplishes this by removing excess fat through a vacuuming procedure. This not only helps to restore the physical appearance of the patient, but also restores self-confidence and respect to the patient.

Liposuction in Chicago is a very individualized procedure in which your goals should be realistically determined and discussed with your surgeon in Chicago. Together you will determine what specific procedures will be performed. Liposuction is often performed in conjunction with other procedures such as abdominoplasty to achieve an effect that better matches the proportions of the body. Once your goals have been determined you will set a date for this procedure and will be given instructions about how to prepare.

When the date for your liposuction procedure has arrived, you should plan on the surgery taking several hours or more depending on which procedures you are having performed. Several liposuction procedures are available which can vary in cost and amount of time required, and while the method may be different with each procedure, the underlying principal is still the same. A small incision is made so that a tube can be inserted to the lower layers of fat which are then vacuumed out of the body. Incisions are strategically placed on the body to minimize visibility of scars.

The basic procedure for liposuction differs from other procedures in that the newer procedures make the operation easier to perform and reduce the pain and discomfort that happens after the operation. One such procedure is an ultrasonic lipoplasty which uses ultrasonic energy to first liquefy the fat before it is removed. This tends to make the procedure easier to perform and the recovery process happens more smoothly. Although newer procedures reduce the pain after the operation, some pain and swelling may still occur. Patients are usually mobile again after the procedure but it may take a few weeks before you feel completely normal again. Medications are available to further reduce the discomfort after the procedure. All procedures are performed with anesthesia to minimize any discomfort or pain.

Dr. Gilbert Tresley in Chicago can help you to achieve your goals. He specializes in procedures such as face lifts, breast augmentation, nose jobs, ear pinning, liposuction, and tummy tucks. Dr. Tresley is a strong proponent of liposuction. Excellent results can be achieved for the appropriate surgical candidates. To schedule an appointment or to learn more about Liposuction in Chicago, please contact us today.

Dr. Geoffrey Keyes offers Ear Surgery in Los Angeles

Introduction:
Ear surgery or otoplasty is usually done to set prominent ears back closer to the head or to reduce the size of large ears. Ears are almost fully grown by age four, so the operation is done on children between ages of four and fourteen. Ear surgery is also possible in adults with fewer risks. You have to be clear about what and how you want your ear to be when you talk to the doctor.

Risks involved:
* When a qualified and experienced surgeon performs the ear surgery, the complications and risks involved are usually minor.
* Patients may develop a blood clot on the ear. It can dissolve naturally or drawn out with a needle.
* Patient may develop an infection in the cartilage, which can cause sear tissue to form.

Planning for surgery:
The surgeon will evaluate the patient’s condition and recommend the most effective technique specific instructions will be given on how to prepare for the surgery. If the child is young, the surgery is performed on general anesthesia, so the child will sleep through the operation. For older children or adults, the ear surgery may be performed by using local anesthesia combined with a sedative. The child will be awake and relaxed.

The surgery:
The surgery usually takes two or three hours, the technique depends on the problem. In one of the more common techniques, the surgeon makes a small incision in the back of the car to expose the car cartilage. Then the surgeon will sculpt the cartilage and bend it back towards the head. The stitches which are non removable may be used to help maintain the new shape. Some times as large piece of the cartilage is removed to give a more natural looking fold, when the surgery is complete. In another technique, a similar incision is made in the back of the ear. Skin is removed and stitches are used to fold the cartilage back on itself to reshape the ear without removing cartilage. The surgery will leave a faint sear in the back of the ear, which will fade with time.

Recovery:
The patients is usually up and around within a few hours of surgery. If you prefer you may stay overnight in the hospital until all the effects of general anesthesia wear off. To promote best molding and healing, the patients head is wrapped in a bulky bondage. The pain in the ear can be relived by medication. Within a few days the bulky bandage will be replaced by a lighter dressing similar to a headband. The dressing should be worn day and night stitches will be removed or will dissolve in about a week. For about a month, avoid any activity which will make your ear bend. Adults can go back to work in five days. Children can go back to school after a week. Most patients are satisfied with the results of ear surgery. Be realistic in your goals and don’t expect a perfect symmetric in both ears. The goal of the surgery is improvement not perfection.

Dr. Gershenbaum offers Abdominoplasty in Miami, Florida

In Miami, Florida, as well as in the rest of the United States and across the world, it is especially important to look your best. Abdominoplasty or “Tummy Tuck” is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fatty tissue from the abdomen, as well as tighten the underlying musculature. An abdominoplasty from our Miami, Florida center will tighten stretched, wrinkled skin, creating a firmer, flatter abdomen and narrower waistline.

Protruding abdomens or those with loose, wrinkled, or hanging skin and fatty tissue, causes distress to thousands of people. Weak abdominal muscles, weight fluctuations, pregnancy, and surgical scars can wreak havoc on our lower midsections. For many people, this area does not respond well to diet and exercise.

Abdominoplasty is not, however, a substitute for weight reduction, and it is not meant as a treatment for obesity. The ideal candidate for abdominoplasty has relatively normal weight with weak abdominal muscles and excess skin and fat of the lower abdomen. Loss of skin elasticity, which frequently occurs with slight obesity in older patients, or extreme fluctuations in weight, can result in loose, stretched, hanging skin, as well as fat in the lower abdomen. These conditions can be improved with this procedure. If stretch marks are a problem, only the marks on the excess or hanging skin will be removed. Abdominal wall hernias and/or abdominal scars can sometimes be complicating factors that may also be corrected during abdominoplasty surgery in Miami.

Dr. Sam Gershenbaum in Miami, Florida can help you to achieve your goals. He specializes in procedures relating to tummy tucks including procedures such as face lifts, breast augmentation, nose jobs, ear pinning, and liposculpture. To schedule an appointment or to learn more about an abdominoplasty, please contact us today.
