How many women are out there that would like some extra lift on there chest?  I know since i have lost the weight and i my breast have started to sag. I then said i don’t like that my bras don’t fit and clothes don’t look good on me. I then went to the internet and looked up for help with my sagging breast. Through my research I found this plastic surgeon in Miami, Florida. I then made my initial appointment and I got my question and concerns answered. I also saw before and after pictures of the procedure called breast lift.
It has been 5 months and I feel great. I know have clothes and swim wear that look good on.    

I have been big chested all my life and i have been trying to use exercise and diet for the past 2 years and i have not got the results that i would like to see for being good. I also have tried to get a bra that would help my back and no results.

Introduction
Over the years, factors such as pregnancy, nursing, and the force of gravity take their toll on a woman’s breasts. As the skin loses its elasticity, the breasts often lose their shape and firmness and begin to sag. Breastlift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts–at least, for a time.

Mastopexy can also reduce the size of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple. If your breasts are small or have lost volume–for example, after pregnancy–breast implants inserted in conjunction with mastopexy can increase both their firmness and their size.

The Surgery
The incision outlines the area from which breast skin will be removed and defines the new location for the nipple. When the excess skin has been removed, the nipple and areola are moved to the higher position. The skin surrounding the areola is then brought down and together to reshape the breast. Stitches are usually located around the areola, in a vertical line extending downwards from the nipple area, and along the lower crease of the breast.

Some patients, especially those with relatively small breasts and minimal sagging, may be candidates for modified procedures requiring less extensive incisions. One such procedure is the “doughnut (or concentric) mastopexy,” in which circular incisions are made around the areola, and a doughnut-shaped area of skin is removed.

Breast Reconstruction: What Can Be Done?
If a woman is a good candidate for reconstruction, she can usually expect a breast mound that will fill a bra cup to her desired volume, along with a nipple and areola, if desired. The opposite breast can be made to match by augmentation, reduction or lifting. These procedures are covered by insurance, as mandated by law. In addition, significant breast symmetry as a result of lumpectomy/radiation or multiple biopsies can be corrected with reconstructive surgery.

The word “can” is used because breast reconstruction is a matter of choice. Some women choose to wear a breast prosthesis with their bra. Once the decision is made to go ahead with the procedure, the next question is which technique to select. In each case, the decision is based upon surgical preference and which technique will be better in the face of any anticipated treatments of chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.

Breast augmentation (or augmentation mammaplasty) is a cosmetic procedure that uses implants to enlarge and shape the breasts. The Procedure

Recovery
Upon leaving the operating room you will be wearing a supportive, elastic bra. Initial discomfort will be controlled with oral medication. Within a day or two you should be up and around and can resume light activities. After several weeks most of the swelling will be gone, exercise can be resumed and you will start to see your final results.

Results
Most women who have breast enlargement surgery are very pleased with the results and find that their new figure is more proportioned and gives them a greater sense of self-confidence.

Risks
The risks associated with breast enlargement surgery are not great. However, it should be noted that a small percentage of women may experience capsular contracture (a hardening of the scar tissue that forms around the implant which may require a surgical revision.) It is also important to keep in mind that most implants have to be replaced at some point within a woman’s lifetime as they are not life-long devices.

What To Expect:
Breast lifting can be done with or without changing the size of the breast. If more fullness is desired, Dr. Flint will recommend that an implant be added. If the breasts are very heavy and pendulous the breast may be downsized at surgery. It depends on your goals. Most importantly, the shape will be improved and the nipple complex will be downsized and moved up higher.

The scar pattern varies depending on how much lift is required and the pre-operative size of the breasts. Most patients find the improvement in shape well worth the trade off of having a scar. Scars generally fade nicely with time.

Preprocedure:
Dr. Flint will meet with you and discuss your goals regarding your breast surgery. She will examine you and discuss your options and make recommendations. all of your questions will be answered. You will be given information regarding the fees and an opportunity to select a date for your surgery if you so desire.

Postprocedure:
You will be able to go home about two hours after your surgery. Dr. Flint will see you in the office in one to two days and place you in a sports bra at that time. Three weeks later she will re-examine you and allow you to return to full activities. Most people take one to two weeks off of work. Discomfort is mild and should resolve within seven to ten days.
