When i think about plastic surgery, I think about face lifts, breast augmentation, and body contouring. I know that there are a lot of women out there that would like to feel better about themselves. I know that i have been small all my life. I know that i want to have a change. So i have been doing some research to see what kind of procedures are out there.
 I also did research what size would be good for me.
In my research i found that it is best that you find a plastic surgeon you feel comfortable to say what you would like. Then also here what the plastic surgeon says is best.  Always remember that it is your body and that you need to do what is right for you.
 so for me I was able to talk to this plastic surgeon and we were able to figure out what size of breast would be good for me.
 This plastic surgeon is in Huntersville, North Carolina. It was really nice to be able to get my concerns and question answered that would work for me. He also showed me before and after pictures of his work.
 I have had the breast augmentation done and i feel great. I now have boobs and i like them, he did a great job on me.

I then went to tell her that i have found this plastic surgeon and i told her to the site and she checked it out. She then had her first appointment and she was able to get her concerns and her question answered. She was also able to see before and after pictures and that made her happy that we found the right one for her.

It has been 6 months since she had the procedure done and she looks great and she has her self confidence back.    

Choosing to have plastic surgery is an important decision especially breast augmentation surgery. Breast augmentation using saline breast implants or silicone breast implants is one of the most commonly requested aesthetic operations. Breast enhancement surgery is the enlargement of breast volume by the surgical placement of a saline breast implant, silicone breast implant or cohesive gel breast implant ( 410 implant ) .

Most women undergo this type of plastic surgery because they want to feel better about their appearance. Women choose to have breast augmentation surgery to improve their self image. Some feel dissatisfied because their breasts never developed to a size that meets their expectations. Others want to bring balance to a breast that is somewhat smaller than the other. Differences in size between the right and left breasts can be improved with the use of breast implants. Often women want the breast augmentation procedure to restore their natural breast volume, which may have decreased as a result of pregnancy, weight loss, aging or even breast cancer surgery.

During your initial consultation with your local plastic surgeon, you will be encouraged to discuss your desires, fears, expectations, and goals. The first and foremost objective is the creation of breasts that you envision yourself with. In addition to increasing breast size, your plastic surgeon will strive to create a more aesthetically pleasing breast by improving shape, balance, and proportion.

Depending on the desired shape, your plastic surgeon may choose a round or contoured implant for breast augmentation. Round breast implants tend to produce a more rounded appearance to the upper breast. Shaped breast implants are designed to reflect the slope of the breast.

Silicone implants are now available! In Nov. 2006, the FDA approved the use of silicone implants for routine augmentation in women 22 years or older. The main advantages of silicone implants is a more natural feel and lower chance of visible and palpable wrinkling. Disadvantages of silicone implants are greater expense, inability to adjust size, and a longer scar to avoid damaging the implant during placement.

You still have the option of having saline implants. Should the implant rupture or leak, the saline is safely absorbed by the body and poses no health hazard. Implants may be pre-filled prior to placement, or slowly filled at the time of surgery through a self-sealing valve. Implant placement, type and size will be determined based on your breast anatomy, body type and desired increase in size, as well as your plastic surgeon’s judgment. Implant manufacturers occasionally introduce new styles and types of implants; there may be additional options available to you.

Breast implants have not been shown to impair breast health. Careful review of scientific research by independent grounds such as the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine (IOM) has found no proven link between breast implants and auto-immune or other systemic diseases in women. Implants can, however, create subtle or more noticeable changes in the look and feel of your breasts. Capsular contracture, a condition that causes the naturally-forming scar tissue around a breast implant to contract, occurs in a variable percentage of patients and can make the breast feel firmer than normal. While this condition can be addressed surgically, correction is not always permanent.

You should be aware that breast implants are not guaranteed to last a lifetime and future surgery may be required to replace one or both implants. Pregnancy, weight loss and menopause may influence the appearance of augmented breasts over the course of a woman’s lifetime. Breast augmentation requires maintenance over time, including regular examinations for breast health and to evaluate the condition of your implants.

A mammogram may be recommended prior to your procedure to ensure breast health and serve as a baseline for future comparison. Following the procedure, mammography is technically more difficult. Obtaining the best possible results requires specialized techniques and additional views. You must be candid about your implants when undergoing any diagnostic breast exam.

Breast augmentation (or augmentation mammaplasty) is a cosmetic procedure that uses implants to enlarge and shape the breasts. Some of the reasons women seek breast enlargement surgery are to change the size or shape of their breasts, to bring balance when a breast that is smaller than the other, and to correct a loss of volume or fullness after weight loss or pregnancy.

The Procedure
Breast augmentation surgery is performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia and usually takes less than 2 hours. The incisions are small and usually located underneath the breast just above the crease or around the lower edge of the areola to keep scars as inconspicuous as possible. After the incision has been made, the surgeon creates a pocket into which the implant is inserted; either directly behind the breast tissue or beneath the muscle.

About the Implants
Most women receive saline-filled implants which are filled with sterile saltwater. The implants may also be filled with silicone gel, although the use of these implants is limited to patients who fill certain requirements. Recovery
Upon leaving the operating room you will be wearing a supportive, elastic bra. Initial discomfort will be controlled with oral medication. Within a day or two you should be up and around and can resume light activities. After several weeks most of the swelling will be gone, exercise can be resumed and you will start to see your final results.

Results
Most women who have breast enlargement surgery are very pleased with the results and find that their new figure is more proportioned and gives them a greater sense of self-confidence.

Risks
The risks associated with breast enlargement surgery are not great. However, it should be noted that a small percentage of women may experience capsular contracture (a hardening of the scar tissue that forms around the implant which may require a surgical revision.) It is also important to keep in mind that most implants have to be replaced at some point within a woman’s lifetime as they are not life-long devices.

Procedure Description:

What To Expect:
Breast lifting can be done with or without changing the size of the breast. If more fullness is desired, Dr. Flint will recommend that an implant be added. If the breasts are very heavy and pendulous the breast may be downsized at surgery. It depends on your goals. Most importantly, the shape will be improved and the nipple complex will be downsized and moved up higher.

The scar pattern varies depending on how much lift is required and the pre-operative size of the breasts. Most patients find the improvement in shape well worth the trade off of having a scar. Scars generally fade nicely with time.

Preprocedure:
Dr. Flint will meet with you and discuss your goals regarding your breast surgery. She will examine you and discuss your options and make recommendations. all of your questions will be answered. You will be given information regarding the fees and an opportunity to select a date for your surgery if you so desire.

Postprocedure:
You will be able to go home about two hours after your surgery. Dr. Flint will see you in the office in one to two days and place you in a sports bra at that time. Three weeks later she will re-examine you and allow you to return to full activities. Most people take one to two weeks off of work. Discomfort is mild and should resolve within seven to ten days. Breast shape will be improved immediately but will continue to improve over the first three post-operative months.
